Cosplay photography at Dragon Con
I'm Jeff Jenkins, a Nashville-based cosplay and creative-portrait photographer. Every Labor Day I bring cinematic, off-camera lighting to Dragon Con in Atlanta and shoot character-driven portraits with cosplayers, makers, and performers.
Epic cosplay photos in the heart of Atlanta, GA
Dragon Con is one of the best cosplay showcases in the country, and it's a fixture on my calendar every year. I plan sessions ahead of the show so the people I work with get real, unrushed time, not a few grabbed shots in a crowded hallway.
My work is built around deliberate, controlled, cinematic lighting and a genuinely collaborative process. Before we shoot, I like to know more about your character, the costume's build details, posing ideas (send or bring reference pictures please). Cosplayers are collaborators with me, not props...consent, comfort, proper credit, and respect are part of every session.
Whether you've built a screen-accurate suit or an original design, the goal is the same, images that feel true to the character and reflect the work you put into bringing it to life.
How a session works
Plan
We lock a time and talk through your character, costume details, and shot list before the con.
Shoot
On-site, I bring the lighting and direction. We work your angles and get the frames you came for.
Deliver
Edited images arrive in a private online gallery you can download in full resolution, typically within about 20 business days.
