Cosplay photography in the Baltimore area
I am Jeff Jenkins, a cosplay and creative-portrait photographer based in Forest Hill, Maryland. Conventions are most of my year, but a con floor is a hard place to do a build justice. An off-season session around Baltimore or Harford County gives us the thing a convention never does: time. No badge line, no closing hours, no hallway crowd walking through the frame.
A session, not a hallway grab
A convention session is twenty minutes of borrowed time in a building designed for crowds. A dedicated shoot is the opposite: we pick the location for the character, I bring the lighting, and we work until the frames are right. If you have spent months on armor, a wig, or an original design, that difference shows in the finished images.
[TODO: copy - a paragraph naming the actual Baltimore-area locations Jeff shoots: studio or partner studio, and two or three specific outdoor spots suited to cosplay work. CONFIRM with Jeff before this page leaves noindex.]
I also shoot portraits and headshots in Bel Air, and travel out across the Baltimore–Washington corridor, into Cecil County, and up toward southern York County. Tell me where you had in mind.

A cross-section of recent sessions. These frames come from conventions across the country and from studio work, not all from this show.

How a session works
Tell me the character
Send references, build photos, and anything the costume physically will not let you do. We plan around it.
Pick the location
Studio for controlled, gelled, high-contrast work, or on location when the character wants real surroundings.
Shoot and deliver
Edited images come back in a private gallery you can download in full resolution, typically within about 20 business days.
