Cosplay photos at GalaxyCon Nashville
I'm Jeff Jenkins, a Nashville-based cosplay and creative-portrait photographer. GalaxyCon rolls into the Fairgrounds Nashville with celebrity guests, wrestlers, voice actors, and a genuinely huge cosplay turnout, and since it's right in my backyard I make it a point to be there, camera in hand, no travel required.
A festival of fandom, in my local area
GalaxyCon Nashville calls itself a festival of fandom, and that's about right, three days of comics, sci-fi, anime, gaming, wrestling, and cosplay at The Fairgrounds Nashville, with celebrity panels and photo ops running the whole weekend on top of the usual dealer floor and artist alley. It pulls in a bigger, more varied crowd than the anime-specific shows I go to, which makes for some of the most creative builds I see all year.
This is another one of my local, no major booking campaign cons. I show up as an attendee first and a photographer second, and if I spot a build worth stopping for, I'll ask. If you've got a specific shot in mind, message me ahead of time with reference pics and we can coordinate a time, but plenty of my GalaxyCon photos happen because someone walked by me and I decided to talk to them for a few, before asking if they would be open to getting a few photos.
How it works at a local con
Say hi
Message me ahead of time and let me know you're going and want to coordinate a time, or just flag me down on the floor.
Grab a few photos
If schedules line up, we'll find a decent corner of the fairgrounds and get a couple of photos.
I'll send them over
Whatever we get, be sure to send me a DM on Instagram, let me know it was you, what your email address is, and what cosplay you were in. When I finish editing, I'll send you a link to download them.
Say hello at GalaxyCon Nashville
I'm not running a formal booking schedule at GalaxyCon, I'm there as a local, same as most of the crowd. If you'd like a real shot at grabbing a few photos by me, leave your email below and tell me who you're bringing to life, or just catch up with me at the show.
